A New Blog Template

I made a nice blog template for a friend:
She’s a very dear friend of mine and I’ve known her for a long time now. We met each other thru the internet when she and her husband were still in Singapore. And when they first moved to California, I was living there, too, so we saw each other often. And now that I’m in Maryland, we still get intouch with each other.
And speaking of websites, I also created the header for the template for our group website.

I Hate Having A Cold

I hate having a cold. This is one affliction I always suffered from ever since I was a kid. And since I’m a regular “client” of it, I actually know if my cold is just going to be ordinary that would be gone by the end of the day or it’s the kind that would make me stay in bed because I’m like a walking dripping faucet – full of germs and everything I touch turns into SICK.
The last one is what I have right now. My nose is so clogged up, my head hurts and I’m feeling the chills. I’m actually wearing my warmest jacket right now under 2 sheets of comforters. My eyes are really droopy. And I’m just typing this because I want to write about it while I have it.
So if this annoying cold continues tomorrow, I’m not going to go to work tomorrow. It’s just gross blowing your nose in a crowded pod of cubicles. I know I hate it when someone does it so I’m not going to do it. No way.
Post Christmas Post: The Christmas Tree

Since the last entry I have in here was when I was waiting for us to buy a tree, it’s but proper, I think, that I follow up on that entry and show you THE tree. I know… too late, eh? But what the heck, I need to blog about it for journalling’s sake. So here goes.
We got the tree the day after Thanksgiving day. We knew we wanted a slim one and not t00 big, but big enough to make the house look very special during the time we have it up. We went to Home Depot and started to look around. My darling husband (DH) found this one and I have to agree with him, it will look really nice.
It wasn’t that easy to bring home the tree either. DH had to take down the seat at the back of the van and we made sure we were careful while we were loading it inside the van – too much needles, too hard to take off the seats. And it was a weight, too, carrying it inside the house.
After that, I brought all the stuff I’ve been buying little by little out in the living room and started putting in the lights first. I admit, I am soooo picky. I did it myself to make sure that I could get the lights inside the tree and that 95% of the branches would be lighted. In fact, we even had to make a short trip back to Home Depot because I ran out of lights 2/3 of the way to the most bottom part. And I didn’t want to start all over again from the top. It would be way much easier just to go do the trip.
